On Saturday 21st October, Pudsey CC hosted the first round of this season’s Interclub Colour Group Competition which saw 10 Yorkshire clubs battling it out over 4 rounds for the trophy.
The host club chooses a set subject for one image and we selected “Steps” – there was a strong entry, but Larry Walker achieved 20 for his “Battersea Steps” as did Chris Rogers of Huddersfield PIC for “Whitby 199 Steps”.
The second set of images are on a rotating theme and for this round the theme was ‘Scapes. Paul Murphy scored 18 for his “Battered Sea Defences”, but this section was won by Ian Parker of Hebden Bridge Camera Club with a 20 for “Trekking in the Clouds”.
The third set of images are three general (open) images from each club and there were plenty of 20’s here! For Pudsey, Kirsty McLeod scored 20 for “Skylark – Song and Dance Man”, Larry Walker achieved 17 for “Georgia in her Ballet Shoes” and Pete Walker scored 17 for “No Job for Retirement”.
At the end of the evening, scores were close, with Huddersfield winning the night on 93 points and Pudsey and Hebden Bridge tying in second place on 92 points.
All to play for!!
