New Season at Pudsey Camera Club

If you’re searching for a friendly photography club in Leeds, our new season at Pudsey Camera Club kicks off on the evening of Thursday 10th September at 7:30pm, and we can’t wait to get started. As always, we meet at Pudsey Library, and whether you’ve been with us for years or you’re just curious about picking up a camera, everyone is welcome to come along — guests and new members always welcome.

First Few Weeks

We’re opening the season with a strong run of speakers and member evenings:

• 10th September – Alistair How: Tools, Tips and Techniques to Improve Your Landscape Photography
• 17th September – Stuart Allen: Urban Soundbites
• 24th September – What We Did On Our Holidays, plus a review of our YPU results (also the hand-in date for the Butchers’ Arms competition)
• 1st October – The Butchers’ Arms Competition itself, judged against this year’s set subjects

It’s a great taste of what the club’s about — inspiring speakers, friendly competition, and members sharing their own work.

Season Highlights

There’s plenty to look forward to as the months go on, including:

• Guest speakers covering everything from architectural and astrophotography to light painting and smartphone photography, several joining us live via Zoom
• Three rounds of our Print and Digital Competition, each with a different external judge
• Interclub competition, with four rounds against clubs including Cookridge, Leeds PS, Bingley and Huddersfield
• Salon evenings, taking in images from the Vale of Evesham and London Salons
• The Michael Diffley Competition and our dedicated Smartphone Images Competition
• A social pub night at the Crossed Shuttle in April
• The season wrapping up with our AGM and Pictures of the Year in April 2027
